For first-time visitors I usually suggest to go South India first like Goa, Kerala. There are many uncounted places in India to visit for first-time visitors. It depends on your interest whether it is nature, temples, beaches, food and history.

India is a crowded country in general and it’s going to feel crowded no matter when you come. But the best time to travel India is typically between October and March. Because, maximum of the Indian festivals comes in these months and the weather is pretty good in these months. Festival wise we think October and March is the best because the main festivals like Diwali and Holi come in October and March.
